Tadanori Yokoo: Graphic Designers You Should Know About

In this episode of our ‘Graphic Designers You Should Know About in 50 Seconds’ series, we talk about one of Japan’s finest artists: Tadanori Yokoo.

Known for his intricate, colorful designs, his work is influenced by Surrealism, Postmodernism, Dada, Constructivism, American Pop Art, and most importantly, contemporary Japanese culture and ukiyo-e.

His unique style of design and expression was a result of his travels to India in the late 1960s, where he developed an interest in mysticism and psychedelia that further influenced his work.
